Group Participation

There are so many great ways to activate your church, organization, or business to help others. Check out the options below and Contact Us to get started.

HOST A DRIVE

Churches, organizations, and community groups often ask: how can we help? Host a drive for shoes, food, or full-sized toiletries. We will provide the red bins and signage to get you started.

Grab a fun photo of your group with the donations when you're finished, then email it to us so we can share your success on social media.

BUILD MEAL BAGS

Are you hungry for a bigger project? Gather specific food items to fill meal bags that include all the ingredients needed for a family to make a home-cooked meal. Attach the corresponding recipe cards and place everything in clear plastic bags (provided by us!). We will distribute your meal bags through our pantry, making meal planning a cinch for those we serve.

Some of the meal kits we have distributed in the past include:

  • 7 can taco soup

  • chicken casserole

  • chicken noodle soup

  • tuna noodle casserole

BUILD BLESSING BAGS

Get creative! The families we serve receive a weeks' worth of food through our food pantry during a time when they are facing financial hardship. Let's brighten their day by providing mini blessing bags that will be given to them, along with their food, as a special surprise. All kit items should be new. Bring the items in individual baggies. If your kits are larger, ask us for bags.

Are you donating in honor or memory of someone you love? Let us know and we will send a special acknowledgement letter to the family.

Here are some kit ideas and recommended months to donate (but you can build your own, aim for 3-5 items):

  • January-March TOILETRIES: Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, pocket tissues

  • April-May CLEANING: Dish cloth, dish soap, sponge, household cleaner, paper towels, laundry detergent, dryer sheets

  • June-July School Supplies: Backpack, paper, notebooks, pens, pencils, pencil sharpener, index cards, colored pencils, crayons, markers, highlighters, scissors, dry erase markers, folders with pockets, binders, pencil box, ear buds, hand sanitizer, tissues

  • November-December BIRTHDAY BOX: Cake mix, icing, streamers, birthday card, cake topper, disposable pan

COLLECT PLASTIC BAGS

THRIVE is looking for volunteers (groups or individuals) that will collect and roll grocery bags. It's a great way to recycle, and a money saver for THRIVE. Churches and Community Groups, this is an easy thing for volunteers to do and makes a big difference.
