Debbie Burris

Development Assistant

Debbie serves on the THRIVE Peninsula team as the Development Assistant, where she supports fundraising efforts by managing the donor database, processing donations, and assisting with donor communications and campaigns.

Before joining THRIVE, Debbie had a successful career as a Tax Accountant, bringing extensive experience in the financial field. She initially became involved with THRIVE Peninsula as a volunteer Resource Concierge, where she enjoyed assisting clients in the market and connecting them with additional resources—sometimes simply offering a listening ear.

Originally from Long Island, NY, Debbie relocated to Carrollton, VA, in 2005 to be closer to family. She enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling, exercising, and researching healthy lifestyles. Passionate about helping others, she is proud to support THRIVE Peninsula’s mission of serving those in need
