Mateash Davis serves as Market Coordinator, where she facilitates our Thursday Night Takeovers. These additional Thursday evening hours expand access to The Market and provide greater flexibility for working families, and Mateash plays a key role in making each takeover a success.

Mateash is a retired U.S. Navy Veteran with over 20 years of experience in healthcare and human services. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Services and has dedicated her career to public health, service, and community engagement.
 
Mateash first connected with THRIVE Peninsula in 2019 as the organization’s first intern, where she developed a strong foundation in outreach and community-focused work. She later served as a Disease Mitigation Specialist with the Virginia Department of Health. Inspired by her commitment to service and community impact, Mateash returned to THRIVE as a volunteer, continuing to support its mission and the communities it serves. In her free time, Mateash enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time outdoors. Her hobbies include hiking, fishing, participating in 5K events, and gardening.
